Q: What is your favorite Saturday activity?
A: Growing up, we used to do our chores on Saturday. My mom made us each a little apron and with a list of things to do in one pocket and a candy in the other pocket to eat when we were done (and we actually waited). I'm glad my parents taught me the importance of cleaning growing up because TOO many people don't clean now as adults. It amazes me actually. We also washed the cars on Saturday and dumped the trash to the dumpster down the street. That was fun for us because we would all hang off the van. My dad was the coolest to let us do that. My favorite place to sit on the van was backwards on the tire on the back holding on to the rails on top of the van.
Now, I would say my favorite thing to do on Saturday is sleep in. I love sleeping. I also love being productive and getting things done that I need to get done what ever that may be, but also have time to relax and even better if I get to fit something fun in too... like a hike or some sort of adventure... but that doesn't always happen, so I'm happy with sleeping in. It's the little things in life when you get older. ha ha.

Question #135
Q: What's your favorite thing to do in the summertime? Why?
A: Growing up I LOVED having sleepovers with my friends, catching Blue Belly Lizards and frogs and tad poles in the creek. I loved my friends and I loved animals and I loved being outside exploring. I still do. Now... I would say I love being outside. Summer isn't quite the same because I have to work all year round, but when I get the chance I love to go travel, go on road trips and hikes and explore and enjoy the sunshine and outdoors.

Question #134
Q: Who was my favorite Jr. High School Teacher?
A: This one is a little harder for me. Obviously you don't spend the same amount of time with Jr. High teachers as you do with your elementary teachers. I remember loving my English class with Ms. Nelson. I also loved Mr. Pate for Woodshop. I liked Ms. Carr enough for Art that I took her class for two years. Mr. Winn was a pretty awesome Science teacher. I'm impressed with myself that I even remember all of my teachers names. Ha ha

Question #133
Q: What is your favorite YW value?
A: My favorite Young Women's Value has always been and will always be Individual Worth. It has always had special meaning to me because I felt like it took me a while to find mine. Now that I have found my individual worth and know how important it has been to me, it is easy for me to recognize people that don't have it and how much it would help them to realize their individual worth. It took me a while, but once I figured out my worth, I became a lot more confident which opened a lot of doors for me and made me happier overall.

Question #132
Q: Who was your favorite elementary school teacher?
A: I liked a lot of my teachers, but I would have to say my 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Gans. Not only did I love her as a teacher because she was so nice and fun, but we also lived in the same neighborhood, so I think she had a special place in her heart for me. Which made us have a special little bond.

Question #131
Q: What is your favorite ice cream? Why?
A: That is so hard because I have a lot of favorites. General favorites are chocolate and mint and chocolate and peanut butter. I just love those flavor combos! If I'm getting a pint of ice cream, I go for the mint cookies and cream. YUM! I just love ice cream though. When I was eating a lot of Gelato in Italy, my favorite was always Nutella or Chocolate Hazelnut.

Question #130
Q: If you could buy your own car, what would it be and why? What color?
A: If you would have asked me this as a teenager, I don't know if I would have had an answer for you. I don't think I really thought about or cared too much about cars. I couldn't drive, so what did I care? Once I could drive, I was just happy to have a car to drive, so I still didn't care. I could have told you what colors I liked. For a while I loved the silver cars.
Now that I am an adult, I actually just bought my first car. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted because I never really had looked into cars and researched them much before. After a few months of researching, I bought a car that I love. I bought a 2014 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring. I love the way it looks inside and out. It's a charcoal gray and it has leather seats that are heated, it has a sun roof, blue tooth and backup camera and all the bells and whistles. It's awesome and gets amazing gas mileage and has a great sound system and it drives so smooth and quite. I could go on and on. I love my car and I'm glad I took my time and shopped around and sound something that I really love because I pretty much signed my life away when I bought the car and I'm going to be driving it for a LONG time. :)

Question #128
Q: Do you wish you had more sisters or brothers? Why?
A: I am perfectly content with my brother and sisters. However, I did always wonder what it would be like to have an older brother or a younger sister instead of being the younger sister. I think that is normal to think especially when you see your friends with their siblings or your cousins and their siblings. Even if I did have an older brother or a younger sister, each family is so different, it is hard to say what it would be like. All I know is what I know from my family and my upbringing and experiences. I love my family.

Question #127
Q: If you could watch a video over and over, what would it be and why? What's it about?
A: Video? Like on YouTube? I don't know. There are a lot of great video's out there. TV show, I would have to say "Alias" or "An Idiot Abroad". Alias is a show about the CIA undercover stuff that I love and have watched several times all of the way through. An Idiot Abroad is a reality TV show about a British guy that is sent around the world and he hates traveling and being out of his comfort zone. It's hilarious. I never get tired of watching it. Back in middle school I would have told you Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and X-Files. Ha ha.
As for movies, back then I probably would have told you Labyrinth. I was obsessed with that movie. ha ha. I still like it, but now I would have to say "Hot Rod" or "Nacho Libre". Both are hilarious and quotable movies. Hot Rod is about a guy who wants to be a stunt man but stinks at it, but tries to raise money for his step dad's heart surgery. Nacho Libre is about a guy that lives at a Monastery and doesn't feel accepted and becomes a fighter to feel important and gets money for the orphans. They are both stupid... but so stupid they are funny. Kind of like Idiot Abroad. I guess I like that sort of thing ha ha.

Question #126
Q: Tell about your best Halloween costume ever.
A: I'm trying to think of what I would have answered as a teenager because I feel like all of my best costumes have been since I was an adult. There was this one year that me and my sister Jamie and our neighbor friend all dressed up like punks that costume was ok... but the cool part about it was that instead of saying trick or treat at the houses, we did a little rap about being a punk. I remember it was fun and everyone loved it because it was different and we were cute kids thinking we were cute and cleaver. ha ha.
As an adult, I have had some pretty epic Halloween costumes. My first epic one was when I dressed as Queen Amildala from the later Star Wars and I dressed up with my friends Aaron and Shawntelle. We were a big hit when we walked around IV in Santa Barbara. Lots of people wanted to take their picture with us. We later wore those same costumes to the Star Wars Episode II premier. Another great costume was when I dressed up as Mary Poppins and my friend Wes dressed up as Bert. One of my favorites is when me and my roommate Megan and our friends Rich and Jason all dressed up like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Those costumes also probably took the most work. Our other roommate, Sarah, even dressed up as April O'Niel. This wasn't for Halloween, but it was totally epic, I got a bunch of my friends to dress up with me as different Mario Kart characters and go race Go-Karts at Boondocks. I was Toad. Anyway... I LOVE dressing up!

Question #125
Q: What food would I like to try? Why?
A: I can't think of anything particular that I want to try that I haven't. I guess I just want to try anything and everything foreign. I love trying food from other countries to see how different they eat from us and if I have been missing out and amazing food all of my life. I love to experience new cultures and that is part of it.

Question #123
Q: What does my bedroom look like? Do I share a room? What do I like best about my room?
A: Growing up, I shared a room until I was in Jr. High. I went through different phases of who I shared a room with. I remember sharing a room with Jamie & Lori and we had bunk beds. I also shared a room with Chad for a while. I shared with Jamie. I went through different phases with what my room looked like. I can tell you that it was always clean and my bed was always made and I loved collecting stuff, so I had lots of stuffed animals and different toys.
NOW... I have my own room. I love my room. It's small, but it is cozy and cute. I have a queen size bed with gray bedding and cute pillows, a little chandelier that hangs over my bed, a small closet that I wish was a big walk in closet for all the clothes and shoes I have. I'm in the basement, but there isn't a lot of light, but I have gray curtains that cover the closet and sides of the window and a white curtain with lights behind it that are in front of the window. It's very pretty at night. Besides that... there is just a little night stand and a dresser and a cute full size mirror that I made and all my accessories. Oh... I also painted the wall in back of my bed a teal color. I love it. I love the colors and girly and cozy feel to my room. Decorating is so fun for me and it takes some work and some money, but then I get to enjoy it for a long time.

Question #122
Q: Do you eat in the kitchen or dining room? Does everyone have a special seat?
A: Growing up, we ALWAYS ate at the kitchen table together. We never ate in the living room or dining room. It was one of the only times that we were all together as a family to talk once we got older and became more busy and we formed the habit when we were younger, because that was always the way it was. I'm really thankful for that now (not that I ever had a problem with it) because it really helped us bond and communicate. I know SO many people that just plant themselves in front of the tv. I sometimes do that now just because that is where my roommates are and I want to be with them.
I don't remember having special seats, but my parents were usually at the heads of the table.

Question #121
Q: Have I ever done Baptisms for the dead? What did I think and feel about it?
A: Yes! Many times. As a youth, we went once a year to the LA temple. It was an all day trip, but it made it that much more special. I remember the first time I went to do it being nervous about how it worked and just being in the temple for the first time... but of course it was a really neat experience and something I got to experience with my close friends. As an adult, when I moved to Utah I started going more often since I now lived so close to a temple. At first I just went with friends... but then I started going by myself and I went just about every Wednesday night for 2 years. It got to the point where all the people that worked there knew me by name and would wonder why I wasn't there when I didn't show up and would always say "see you next week" when I came. I loved it. When I decided to get endowed, a little part of me was sad that I wouldn't get to do baptisms anymore and see all those people. It holds a special place in my heart, but it was time for me to progress and receive more blessings in the temple.

Question #120
Q: Did you have an imaginary friend when you were growing up?
A: I honestly don't remember having an imaginary friend. I know I did pretend a lot with dolls and stuffed animals and would talk out stories and such. I also would pretend a lot with friends, but I don't think I ever had an imaginary friend. I also used to talk to animals and snails like they were my friends. ha ha. You do funny things when you are a kid.

Question #119
Q: What is my most favorite book and author?
A: Answering this question as a teenager, I would have told you "The Hobbit" by J.R. Tolkin. I still love that book, it will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first novel I ever read and fell in love with the story. I was never a really big reader. I'm still not. However, that will always be one of my favorites. Since then... in my adult years, I fell in love with the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling and the Hunger Games books. Both series were SO good to the point where I couldn't put the books down. That is saying a lot for me since I am not a big reader. ha ha. I wish I gave myself more time to read, but I always have so many other things I want to do. Oh well, maybe one day.

Q: What food will I never eat? Why?
A: I don't think there is anything that I wouldn't try once. You can't say you don't like it if you don't try it. I mean... I have even eaten a beetle in Costa Rica. It tasted like black pepper. Yeah... I'm adventurous or something like that....
